Aloha!

My name is Marc Lopaka Kini, a 2019 BFA in Filmmaking graduate from The New York Film Academy. Due to the hands-on nature of my program, I've been working as an editor for the past eight years and have edited in diverse work environments, handling fast paced projects in post production.
 

Hailing from the beautiful island of Oahu, where filmmaking opportunities were initially scarce, I discovered my love for storytelling using a simple digital camera and basic editing software. Transforming my surfing footage and snapshots into cherished films, I embarked on a journey that led me to California in 2016 to pursue a career in Filmmaking.
 

Over the years, I've explored the independent realm, working on short films, ads, and corporate projects using Avid Media Composer, Davinci Resolve, and Premiere Pro. Along the way, I've cultivated skills in Pro-tools, Final Cut, Fusion, Mocha Pro, After Effects, and other software, and refining my narrative editing abilities through courses like FilmEditingPro's "Action Editing program" as well as Assistant Editing Course "Master the Workflow".
 

Currently, I am thriving as an Online Editor and freelance film editor for various companies. If you're in need of an editor who combines speed with meticulous attention to detail, look no further.
