Aloha, I’m Marc Lopaka Kini, a film editor from Oʻahu and a 2019 BFA Filmmaking graduate from the New York Film Academy. My love for storytelling started in Hawaiʻi, where I used a simple digital camera and basic editing software to turn surfing footage and everyday moments into films, and that passion led me to California in 2016 to pursue filmmaking professionally. Over the past 7+ years, I’ve built my experience across narrative films, documentaries, branded content, ads, and corporate projects, specializing in shaping raw footage into compelling stories while working in fast-paced environments with tools like Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, and Premiere Pro.
